CUSTOMER STORY
Luotea – better data-driven management.
Luotea (formely L&T) and Fatman are developing Frame Maintenance Resource Planning together.
The aim is to better meet the needs of the end users of facilities and to enable better data-driven management based on the real estate data collected. In practice, the system provides information that helps customers make smarter decisions.

Visibility into what happens in the property.
With Frame Maintenance Resource Planning, customers can see what is happening in their facilities. The system shows, for example, consumption data, scheduled maintenance tasks and service requests for a specific property.
The first guiding idea of the project has been how Luotea could serve the end users of its facilities even better. At the same time, the system gives Luotea’s own employees more visibility into facility maintenance.
IN THE CUSTOMER’S WORDS
“This system has not been developed for Luotea but for our customers and their customers, i.e. the end users of facilities.”
Petri Kuismin → Development Manager, Luotea
Developed together, the agile way.
The system has been developed together with Fatman using agile methods. Fatman specializes in modern, easy-to-use and mobile-optimized applications that support data-driven management.
“Basically, every second week Luotea has received new features to test. Testing is a critical part of our development process, as it lets both sides see the results immediately,” explains Fatman Vice President Ville Hentilä. “After testing, Luotea can give feedback on the features, and we make changes based on their comments if needed.”

IN THE CUSTOMER’S WORDS
“Data-driven leadership and data utilization in services are the trends that drove us to develop this solution.”
Antti Niitynpää → Business Unit Director, Luotea
Development work will continue in the future.
According to Hentilä, the cooperation with Luotea has been exceptional in several ways. He feels that Luotea has been truly committed to the project, starting from the users. From the very beginning, Luotea understood how much commitment and effort an ICT project requires from the client, not only from the service provider, to bring it to a successful finish.
“This undertaking never ends. Officially, the project will close by the end of the year, but that is when the work really begins. Both sides, Fatman and Luotea, have lots of ideas for future development, which we will start on once the initial delivery is ready,” concludes Kuismin.
