Finnair – from system supplier to trusted partner.
The partnership between Finnair and Fatman began in 1998.
The partnership between Finnair and Fatman began in 1998 with the delivery of a real estate information system. Over the years, the cooperation has grown to cover many areas, including a complete real estate management system.
One centralized system, with data under Finnair’s own control.
In 2008, Finnair began using a new real estate management system that also included applications for safety and environmental management. Finnair also wanted to move from the reporting channels of several service providers to one shared reporting system, where the data would be fully owned and controlled by Finnair.
The system was to be a centralized and automated solution, with all data stored in one shared database. This way, the required real estate information would be available to both internal and external operators. The procurement also aimed to improve efficiency and productivity by developing processes.
From system supplier to trusted partner.
The real estate management system delivered to Finnair included, among other things:
- tools for space and rental management
- real estate ERP
- maintenance management applications
- later, wireless monitoring of indoor conditions in the properties
- graphical space management.
The implementation project included extensive consulting and training to introduce new, more efficient ways of working.
